A word from Ethan Pippin, Youth Leader:
The purpose of youth meetings at Mountain View is best summarized with the following two statements. First, to glorify God through the exposition of the Holy Scriptures and to enjoy Him forever (1 Cor. 10:31, John 5:38, John 17:17-18, Acts 8:30, Psalms 73:25-26). The importance of opening up the Holy Scriptures and having the Word of God to renew one’s mind is of most importance. In doing this one may glorify God and enjoy Him with a love and faith that declares the grace of God.
Secondly, the edification of the believer through discussing and teaching the Holy Scriptures in order to have a biblical world view (Eph. 4:29, Heb 3:13, Rom. 14:19, Rom. 15:2). In today’s culture youth are faced with difficult and wicked topics. It is important for all believers to have a biblical response and world view in regards to topics such as abortion and homosexuality. The hope and prayer is that through these discussions with the world God may draw people to His Son through the teaching of the Holy Scriptures

Youth gather to learn about God through reading the Scriptures. LifeWay's Explore the Bible curriculum is used as a guide. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts and ask questions.
Tuesday Evenings
Junior & Senior Youth Challenge - 5:30 - 7:30 pm

SYC led by Jimmy Lundy
This is a time for youth to gather for dinner, games, and focused Bible study. Both Junior (ages 11-15) and Senior (ages 16+) groups meet together for dinner and games. Groups then split for 45 minutes of study. The Junior group study is lesson based and interactive. The Senior group study is round-table format with an emphasis on considering student concerns from a Biblical perspective. SYC also has a focus on missions.
Wednesday Evenings
Youth Group - 6:00 - 7:15 pm
Old fellowship hall, downstairs
Led by Austin & Christina Armacost
Youth gather for a short time of relationship-building games, and then dive into expository teaching. Youth are typically led through a full book of the Bible, verse by verse with in-depth discussion of the passage.
